Individual Therapy for Teens

A Message to teens:

Your life is valuable. You are not alone. You can overcome anything that life has thrown at you. My hope is that, if you question any of those statements, you reach out for support. At dwell, we strive to create a place that you are comfortable coming to. Believe it or not, therapy can be a place that you enjoy. A place that is all about you and what you need when you are there. Therapy at Dwell is at your pace, you have control of your therapy session. Yes, it is your therapy session. Whether it is you seeking out therapy, or your parents seeking out therapy for you, my hope is that you know you are brave for even considering support.

Adolescence is such a formative and often overwhelming season of life. Between social pressures, academic expectations, identity development, and the emotional changes that come with growing up, it can be a lot for anyone to carry. Therapy isn’t a sign that something is “wrong.” it’s a proactive way to give your young person tools to navigate life in a healthy way. At Dwell, we provide a neutral, confidential space where your young person can process thoughts, feelings, and situations that they may be struggling with. Allowing therapy does not replace parental guidance, it supports you while you navigate the complicated journey of parenthood. Remember, it did not come with a handbook.
